We began the week with the Kindergarten field trip to Wintergarden Park. This is a wonderful time exploring prairie and wooded trails and looking for tadpoles in the wetlands! Classroom work included butterfly symmetry dropper art and in practical life we added washing a baby doll geoboards. On the movement shelf, we added using a balance beam and in peace, a liquid stepping tile. One of our final food preparations this year was making bean burritos! Students used all of their practical life skills to tong, spoon, roll and taste bean burritos. Lots of music was explored this week, both watching the older friends perform, then having the opportunity to showcase the music and movement Early Childhood has been practicing. Lastly, we’re wishing all of our mother’s a very happy Mother’s Day – thank you for all you do!
