We celebrated Montessori Education Week with a “Keep Calm and Read On!” theme! Students and staff enjoyed 5 special days of school spirit, dress up days, and celebrations. We love MSBG and appreciate all of our students, families and staff! To kick off Montessori Education Week, EC created peace people to add to our peace corner. Students decorated wooden characters to represent their individual selves in our community. We also dressed like our favorite book characters! It was so fun to see everyone’s ideas. The rest of the week included wearing hats to celebrate “hats off to parents!”, wearing MSBG spirit wear, and community attire.
In Practical Life, East students added hair accessories to our grooming mannequins. Both classrooms introduced the skill of pouring water 1-1. West students also focused on new Sensorial work-the bell scale. The EC classrooms also added new Science units, with East beginning with Oceans and West studying dinosaurs! New Sensorial units included pressure and thermic. Finally, we ended our Montessori Education Week with a “cozy up to reading day”, wearing PJs and bringing our favorite books to share with the class! Teachers shared the book If You Give a Dog a Donut and we enjoyed a special treat!
