Our week began with new Sensorial experiences and units. West introduced baric, experiencing the different weights of objects. East introduced rough and smooth. The touch tablets are beautiful works that go along with both of these units. East also introduced the sensory circles on the movement rug and transferring water using a dropper. West students explored the paper punching with beautiful spring shapes. In Practical Life, the West students also began the work of metal polishing.
On the geography shelf, both classrooms introduced our first continent study of the year, North America. This integrative unit explores the natural wonders of the continent as well as the culture, countries, and customs within it. In science, the classrooms switched their study of magnets and the human body as we continue in our curriculum.
