This week we celebrated Pi Day! As many of you know, the number is infinite and non-repeating, so we had plenty and plenty of activities to do. Each activity represented a part of our normal curriculum (Language, math, geometry etc.). Students constructed Pi number lines by measuring the circumference of various circular objects. Students read books about the history of Pi and a reimagined story of the key features. We had a generous donation of 20 pies from our parents. THANK YOU! Struggled to eat them all, but a welcome treat to some of our visiting teachers. A very sincere thank you to your hard work on those! This is a shortened week, so we are buckling down on our work, and the students have been accomplishing a lot. Thank you for sending your child in with extra/dry socks or pants, as it is still very muddy out!
