The pin maps have been introduced to the third year students. This is a geography work that allows students to locate states, cities, countries, capitals, land and water forms. The students are really taking an interest in discovering the specific areas on the maps. This work offers a great practice of organization, focus and patience.

In writer’s workshop, we have been learning how to write in different ways.  The 1st year students are learning to write “How to…” stories about topics they feel they are experts about.  The 2nd year students are learning to write like scientists while performing experiments, asking questions, making hypothesis and analyzing the results.  While the 3rd year students are enjoying teaching about a topic they enjoy through learning how to write “All About …” books.  These students are learning how to formulate ideas, and write factual information as they teach others about their topic through writing.
