March 13, 2020, EC East

This week brought lots of new lessons and work in the Early Childhood classrooms. Wood polishing was introduced in practical life. The East classroom also demonstrated a care of environment work of watering plants while the West classroom continued the use of water by pouring water from one to one.

The East classroom also explored a beautiful balancing peace work using an eagle. The “snake game” was added to the math shelf to further work on exchanging once you have ten and different ways to make the numeral ten. Children began matching bells with the same note/pitch at the bell table as well.
The West classroom added the thick-lined cards to their geometric cabinet, made shamrock prints using a pepper, and introduced the listening station involving a CD player where different music and sounds can be heard.
