We had a fantastic week celebrating “Montessori Education Week”! From line dancing, special treats, to helping the community food banks with generous donations! Toddler class has been interested in farm animals lately; you will see much of our Language, Math and Art work has the farm theme. Children were able to see, feel and brush a real horse! Snickers came to visit; she was very patient as we petted her soft nose and brushed her .
A big part of Montessori education is “care of the environment”. Children fill the bird feeder outside, feed the fish and help keep our classroom clean and tidy! Each day children have specific responsibilities with in the classroom. These jobs are meteorologist, calendar helper, table washer, door holder, light switch person and office messenger.
