We have had a boot-scootin’ good time this week. The whole school seemed to really enjoy Montessori Education Week with the Wild West theme. This week our 3rd year students spent a morning with the upper elementary class to experience life as a 4th year. If you have any questions about this experience, please ask.
In the classroom, our word study shelf introduced synonyms, antonyms and homonyms. This is an exciting unit for the students to discover these words within other readings they do.
On our history shelf, we continue to study Native Americans. We have extended this lesson with the students writing things they know and things they want to learn about this unit on a poster board. Some things they have learned are more details about the totem pole and type of homes they lived in.. Some questions they have stated are “Did they use roman numerals?” “How did they live without electronics?”
Have a happy and safe spring break!
