For the past week students have been exploring the continent, Australia, on the Geography shelf. This week students from both Lower classrooms were presented even more information about Australia from Mr. Dave (Upper Elementary teacher). With this presentation students were able to learn about animals of Australia, the Australian flag, the people who founded Australia (The Aborigines), and the language people speak. Students also were able to learn about the Outback and The Great Barrier Reef along with the states of Australia and the Northern Territory.
In addition, students are officially 100 days smarter after this week! Thursday marked the 100th day of school. The students celebrated by participating in 100th day based activities throughout the day. Also, students had the opportunity to wear 100 of a certain item of their choice.
Have a great weekend!
