Early childhood introduced two new science units this week! East studied animal tracks as they watched the snowfall outside and West discovered items that were magnetic or non-magnetic. Speaking of snow, a winter snow scene, cutting a snowflake and positive/negative snowman were additional art works and concepts explored. Both classrooms added the cubing chains to the bead cabinet to find the cube of the numerals 1-10. A new food preparation work was also shown; pulling string cheese!
The East classroom also showed sensorial and practical life works including: the triangle box, trinomial cube, and transferring pennies into a bank. The West classroom’s Sensorial works included the cube of the trinomial, large hexagon box, and the damper for the bell. They also showed bouncing on the exercise ball in movement and a fun liquid tile in the peace corner.
