We learned about this President’s day this week and discussed George Washington and Abraham Lincoln. We also introduced our new geography unit about our country, The United States of America. Children explored famous landmarks, flag folding, and our USA puzzle map. In Practical Life, wood polishing was added to the shelf as well as our nut and bolt unit, as we discovered and learned how to use tools! Our new sensorial unit was thermic; using our sense of touch to feel hot vs cold temperatures. The Kindergarteners had their first lesson on nouns. They observed and wrote all the nouns they could find in our large environment (the classroom). Our Kindergarten friends also had their “moving up” visits to one of the Lower Elementary classrooms. They brought home a paper that showcased their experience!
