This week students were presented with a new history unit on famous Americans. As this unit is on our shelves, students can learn about different Americans who changed the world throughout the years. Some famous Americas include the Wright Brothers, George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, Helen Keller, and many more. Students will explore different works on the shelf, from making books to creating biographies.
Students also celebrated Valentine’s Day and created their valentine’s bags. On Tuesday, students put each of their valentine’s bags in alphabetical order based on the names of their classmates. Then, they placed their valentines in each classmate’s bag. Though out the day, students also played heart tic-tac-toe, made beaded hearts using pipe cleaners and beads, and completed different Valentine’s Day themed worksheets.
Enjoy your weekend!
