This has been an interesting week with all this crazy weather. We hope that all of you have been able to stay safe and warm. We are thankful we were able to celebrate Valentine’s Day with the students on Wednesday. They enjoyed several activities, treats, and a movie to end our day. They also used their skills of alphabetizing we have been working on in the classroom for a few weeks. This skill helped them put the entire class, including teachers, in alphabetical order to help make Valentine’s delivery easier. They enjoy being able to show their friends how much they like having them in their lives. It is wonderful to see.
We wanted to thank Huanfen Tam, Lillian Tam’s mom, for sharing with both Lower Elementary classrooms about Chinese New Year on last Friday afternoon. The students really enjoyed learning about the traditions, food, clothing and activities that take place to celebrate this important holiday in Chinese culture. The picture below is of traditional clothing worn around this time of year.
We would also like to thank you all for taking the time to meet with us about your children. We have enjoyed getting to know them these past few months. It is always a great opportunity to talk with you about their academic growth as well as their growth toward the wonderful people they are becoming.
We hope that you have a wonderful and safe President’s Day weekend. We look forward to seeing you all on Tuesday, February 19.
