On Tuesday, we celebrated the 100th Day of School.  We asked the students to wear 100 of something.  They wore Cheerios, Smarties, beads, pompoms, balloons, googly-eyes, paper clips, sprinkles, rubber bands, and Montessori words!  They were excited to share their creativity.  Some activities for the day included putting 100 words in ABC order, doing 100 exercises throughout the day, sitting perfectly still, and perfectly quiet, for 100 seconds and making 100 snowflakes as a classroom community while Miss Liz read the book, The Snowy Day by Ezra Jack Keats.  It was a fun-filled day and, most importantly, we can say that we are 100 days smarter!

We’ve been indoors for recess all week!  Indoor recess is spent playing games and doing movement with videos on the smart-board.  The videos are available to parents on the internet for movement also.  Go to GoNoodle.com if you are interested in burning some extra energy at home.
