Despite the busy time of year, our students have been keeping busy! This week, students were introduced to two new units: Zoology and Word Study. In Zoology, students were presented with amphibian work. They explored the nomenclature regarding the external and internal parts of a frog along with their functions. In addition, students also learned about the frog’s lifecycle and the different amphibians living on different continents around the world.
In Word Study, students learned about antonyms and had the opportunity to explore the many words that are opposites. Some works included matching antonyms with synonyms on worksheets to heighten their understanding. This allows students to learn more about antonyms and synonyms, enriching their vocabulary.
