So much fun this week going outside and playing in the snow! Toddlers enjoyed making snow angels , digging in the snow and making foot print paths in the snow! Studies show that there are many benefits of outside play such as promoting social skills like turn taking, fosters imaginative play, reduces stress ( even in children) and increases healthy vitamin D levels. Being outside helps the child appreciate nature and gain a respect for nature. Other new work in the classroom is picture to picture matching, food preparation and learning new winter and holiday songs!
