We welcomed the beautiful first snowfall of the season this week! Students worked with putting on their snow pants, mittens, and snow boots. What wonderful, real-life practical work! Along with studying the changing seasons and weather, we also introduced work exploring the holiday of Hanukkah. The children practiced putting candles in a real Menorah, and also painted a Star of David at the easel. We also learned how to play the dreidel game with a friend. Both classrooms also introduced cutting a small spiral this week. The East classroom introduced the inset shapes of the metal insets. West students continued working with the geometric cabinet and introduced the first two bells of their bell table!
