We welcomed the beautiful first snowfall of the season this week! Students worked with putting on their snow pants, mittens, and snow boots. What wonderful, real-life practical work! Along with studying the changing seasons and weather, we also introduced work exploring the holiday of Hanukkah. The children practiced putting candles in a real Menorah, and also painted a Star of David at the easel. We also learned how to play the dreidel game with a friend. Both classrooms also introduced cutting a small spiral this week. The East classroom introduced the inset shapes of the metal insets. West students began working with the geometric cabinet.
