This holiday season has been a joyful and fun celebration in the toddler classroom! Children enjoyed beautiful music and dance at the music program, made ornaments and learned songs and poems of the season. In the month of December we welcomed Ella, Henry and Gabriel to our toddler community!
Movement is so essential to toddler learning! We continue to move and learn through work such as scarf dancing, pink tower assembly and climbing the stairs in our classroom. Montessori tells us that purposeful movement is what drives not only behavior but also learning. Our children are free to move about their classroom and make decisions on learning. Exploration of the Montessori materials helps children grow and develop in all areas and sets the stage for future learning and decision making.
Happiest of holidays from all the toddlers! May you have a restful break with family and friends. Wishing everyone a joyous New Year!
