The spirit of the holiday season was present in early childhood this week.  We continued learning about the customs of Christmas.  Wrapping and delivering a gift to a friend was a work in the classroom.  We also constructed candy canes with red and white beads and pipe cleaners.  On the art shelf, we created beautiful wreaths using a feathered straw to paint with.

In Practical Life, we baked and decorated sugar cookies.  Students spread frosting onto the cookie using small spreaders, and choose sprinkles to decorate with.  Of course, enjoying the treat was the next step!  Our weekend ended with our classroom party and our music program.  Thank you to everyone who came to support our classrooms and hear our beautiful voices!
Have a safe, warm, happy holiday break!
