December 16, 2022, Upper East

It’s hard to believe it is almost time for Winter Break! As the adage goes, time flies when you’re having fun! This week, students practiced the roots of trinomials, multiplying binomials, and long division. In Biology, students started the unit on bones. Students tried to guess how many bones are in their bodies by feeling and counting. They were only off by 100! In Botany, students looked at flower reproduction. In History, students learned about finding exact locations using latitude and longitude and how the international date line works. In Geography, students learned about international trade.
This week we also got to hear fantastic homework presentations! We have students building bookcases and chairs, creating artwork, and researching animals. It has been a lot of fun! The students’ music informance was also a huge success, and it was wonderful to see the culmination of all their hard work.
Thank you to everyone who had a chance to come to curriculum night! We understand December is a busy month, and we appreciate you taking time out of your day.
