Practical life work in the Montessori toddler classroom is real work! Children engage in scrubbing work, table washing, watering plants and actual care jobs within the toddler community; and guess what , they love it! Sponge squeezing has been very popular this week. The sponge squeezing work helps strengthen the child’s muscles in their fingers and hands, later when the time is right they can hold a pencil and begin writing. Everyone seems excited for holiday fun too, we are enjoying our beautiful sparkling tree and will be adding homemade ornaments!
