We hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving Holiday with family. This week, we kicked off our “Hannah’s Socks” project to donate socks to people in need. We enjoyed wearing our fun socks together! In the classroom, we introduced many new sensorial works that included opening our bell table to play the first bell. We added the bases to our geometric solids for matching and brought out our geometric cabinet for further exploration of geometric shapes. Lacing work was added to our practical life shelf. This work helps prepare a child for sewing. Writing on a mirror was a new writing work that allows the child to write on a reflective medium. We also demonstrated how to trace and use two metal inset frame shapes for more intricate designs and patterns. For some gross motor movement, students enjoyed using the aerobic step for stepping up, down, and side to side! We all enjoyed watching and playing out in the snow we received this week! Remember to check your child’s clothes box as the winter season is approaching!
