With spring break right around the corner, students continue to explore many works throughout the classroom environment. Some of the units being studied include, weather/the water cycle, Indigenous People, birds, Africa/North America, story problems, prefixes, suffixes, and root words. This past Thursday the students had a special visitor, The Toledo Zoo! Each grade level was able to learn about a specific topic related to animals. Lower Elementary students were able to learn all about endangered species!
After spring break, the classrooms will be blooming with lots of new units being introduced and children will be buzzing over new works to explore! A couple lessons that will be presented include, fractions and graphing for math along with the review of the Timeline of Life for history. In addition, students will learn about the next science units, the digestive system, and teeth.
Lastly, the lower teachers wanted to send out a friendly reminder for students to bring their rain/mud boots to school. With the spring season bringing rainy weather it is best for the children to come prepared as we do still go outside for recess. As before, students are welcome to bring in their boots and leave them stored at school.
Have a wonderful, relaxing spring break and we will see everyone again on the 14th of April!
