Happy April! This month our sand affirmation is “I am helpful.” We discussed what it meant to be helpful. Our plants are happy as students were shown plant washing for the care of our environment. Our new math concept was the estimation jar. Children make “their best guess” to estimate how many objects are in the jar and write down their numbers on paper. Food prep was slicing cucumbers! The next study in Geography is learning about our World. We have begun the study of the continent Antarctica. For a fun spring artwork, butterfly paintings were made using droppers for paint and folding the paper to see the symmetrical design! The red rod maze was demonstrated as an extension of our red rods. Each child was invited to peacefully walk this maze. This week we also had the Toledo Zoo presentation!
