We began the week with a new Math work – the Estimation Jar. This work allows the student to use their understanding of quantity to estimate the number of items in a sealed jar. We count and discover the real number at the end of the week. Our new food preparation work this week was cucumber slicing! In geography, the new continent of world study was Europe. Students explored the animals, people, and culture of this continent using works such as the bead maps, flags and artifacts. The balance board was added to movement, to work on core strength and balance. In practical life we began to explore pins in a shaker, continuing to reinforce concentration, coordination, confidence and independence.
