April 28, 2023 Lower North

We are in the throes of April, and the weather shows. The school year is coming closer to an end, but we still have some exciting work happening in the classroom.

This week we added Whales to our Zoology shelf. This work offers the opportunity to learn about different types of whales, the similarities and differences between whales and fish, and parts of a whale, to name a few.
We have been studying Seeds on our Botany shelf and have included Flowers. Students will learn how a seed develops into a flower, the parts of a flower, and many other interesting facts. This is an excellent unit to spark interest and curiosity for planting a flower bed or vegetable garden at home.

For our History Unit, we are studying the Timeline of Life Eras. Ask your child what Era they have been studying.
