Thank you to all the grandparents and special guests that visited, what a special week! We began our new Science unit Recycling, exposing students to different ways to reuse material and how we can all be good studards to our Earth. We also explored fingerprint earth painting in Art. The Estimation Jar was added to Math – this work allows the student to use their understanding of quantity to estimate the number of items in a sealed jar. We count and discover the real number at the end of the week. In practical life we began our planting grass series, a special work dedicated to the beginning of spring. Students used their skills to properly plant and water their grass seeds. Straining objects to transfer one-to-one, along with pins in a shaker were also added to practical life, continuing to reinforce concentration, coordination, confidence and independence.
