Welcome back from Spring break and we hope everyone enjoyed the Solar Eclipse! We introduced the next geography unit; my universe! We discussed the solar system including our planets, moons, sun, and stars. Addition was our next math unit as all children learned that two smaller numerals together will equal a larger numeral. In Practical Life we explored a variety of locks and keys for a fun open/close fine motor activity. We also used a telephone to “phone a friend.” In Art, we made butterfly prints using a dropper and paint. The balance board was added to the movement shelf as the children now use their bodies to stand and balance! We have also begun incubating and hatching 12 chick eggs! We are learning all about this 21 day process as a class and are excited to have this opportunity!
