April 2, 2021, EC West

This week has brought on a lot of egg work as Easter is soon approaching. The children continued their exploration of food prep by peeling, slicing, and tasting a hard-boiled egg. In Art, watercolors were used for a crayon resistant egg design. The students also extended their polishing skills by polishing a beautiful porcelain bunny.

The West classroom added color box 4 to Sensorial to show the shades of colors into a “sunburst.” In Math, the estimation jar was added to learn about making your best guess. The East classroom continued to identify nouns around their classroom.
We ended our week with a fun egg hunt and dying eggs using cool whip and food coloring! Remember next week, April 5-9, is our school’s Spring break. We hope everyone has a safe and relaxing time. We will see you again on Monday, April 12.
