We welcomed each other back from our break and were all excited to get back to work! Our Kindergarten students were able to visit the Lower Elementary classrooms to briefly meet the teachers and observe the work they’ll get to see in first grade. All of our students enjoyed engaging new math units when East and West switched graphing and measurement works. Measuring items in the classroom and using fingerprints to graph were two favorite works. Our food preparation curriculum continued this week as well with slicing a cucumber. Many students enjoyed trying a cucumber for the first time! East students created tulip flower paintings in art and added metal polishing to the Practical Life shelf. The West classroom added geoboards to Practical Life, and created symmetrical butterfly paint art.
