“To stimulate life, leaving it free, however, to unfold itself–that is the first duty of the educator.”
-Maria Montessori
April is here!! The end of the school year is approaching but the students are still hard at work. Our Science unit for Lower South is Teeth. In this unit the students are studying parts of the mouth, naming the teeth and learning how to take care of them. Lower North is studying the digestive system. They are exploring the process our bodies go through when we eat food. In a few weeks the classrooms will switch units.
We are all ready and hoping for nice weather. Our grounds are still flooded, recess time can be messy. If you have mud or rain boots that you would like to leave at the school through this season, you are welcome to do that.
