This week in Early Childhood, students learned about grooming and hair care, a lesson of care of self in Practical Life. Miss Brenda brought in her dog, B-Dub, as a special volunteer for a dog-grooming lesson! In the West classroom, wood polishing was also added to the shelf. Kindergarteners had a lesson on the beloved Farm, learning about nouns.
East students explored transferring water using a garlic press. Students also enjoyed lessons on using a screwdriver and twisting nuts and bolts. We also added our bells to the classroom as well as our beautiful light table!
The kindergarten students began creative writing this week. One of the first lessons is investigating what it means to be a writer. We will continue with these weekly lessons to build writing skills.
